Q: I would like to get your pattern CD Rom, but I live in (Europe, Asia, Africa, South America, North America, Australia). How much is the total price?

A: The total price of one CD is US $21 or $25 (as listed) with TAX and The International Small Packet (Air)or(Ground) Shipping option INCLUDED in the price. Your invoice will be sent to your e-mail.

Q: How long will it take for it to get here?

A: How long varies with distance and time of year. Usually it takes 7-25 business days for North America and 15-35 business days for the rest of the world. Why this long? We use the most economical shipping option available and this helps keep to prices low. Faster shipping itself can cost more then the price of a CD.

If you prefer a faster delivery option you can use the Canada Post web site to calculate your shipping cost. All Items are shipped from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada--- zip code --- K1Y 1K8 ---.

Q: I have a stain glass (mirror, lamp, panel, window) that fell on the floor and got damaged. Do you repair? .. or do you have any recommendations as where to find a place to get our (mirror, lamp, panel, window) repaired?

A: Depending on how bad the damage on the ______ is, you have two options.
1. You can repair it by replacing all the broken and damaged pieces with new ones, but saving the original unbroken pieces and try getting close match on the colors.
2. You can even save the broken pieces and incorporate a new stained glass motif in the places that suffered severe damage.

Since you live in _______, (Ottawa, Canada here,)(Local pickup free) there would be shipping cost back and forth, I suggest you take the broken item to a couple of local stained glass shops and see if they are willing to do a good restoration job (most are).
If nothing works out locally send me a picture of your (mirror, lamp, panel, window) with dimensions so you can get a price quote. Please use: "RESTORATION QUOTE" as a subject line if the photo is attached.

Q: I am interested in a window and was wondering if you had any patterns out there than might include ________?

A: Check out the pattern gallery, if you can't find what you are looking for, I do not currently have any _______ patterns that I can think of. If you would like me to make a pattern for you please specify size, theme, intended use and complexity of the pattern:
-complexity levels being:
beginner- 20-50 pieces
easy- 50-100 pieces
advanced- 100-300 pieces
professional- 300-1000 pieces
diamond- 1000+ pieces (very brave)

They are priced accordingly . Only a digital copy (jpg format) of the pattern is provided via e-mail, or regular mail - on the floppy disc or a CD, you can print the pattern yourself or at your local copy store. You can use the custom pattern order form to place an order for a custom pattern. To order a custom made finished product please fill in the finished stained glass project order form.

Q: How does your pattern system work?

A: Very simple, when you see the pattern you really like you have two options:

-Buy the pattern

-Buy the finished stained glass product, made using the pattern you picked.

Q: I picked the pattern, but how do I buy it?

A: Send me an e-mail and tell me which pattern you would like to get. I will send you an e-mail back with my mailing address to send your check or money order to. You will also be able to pay instantly using your credit card or e-check by clicking on the secure "Buy" link. We do not take credit card orders over the phone.

You will receive the pattern or patterns after the payment has been made.

IMPORTANT: The patterns will be sent to you in JPG image format as an e-mail attachment. You will need to have available free space in your e-mail inbox. Patterns average 500kb (0.5mb) in size. TIP: To free up the space delete junk mail in your folders, messages with large attachments (download and save if important) and empty the trash folder.

In case of delivery failure contact me and I will resend the patterns.

Q: May I order a panel in different colours?

A: Every one of our panels is custom made. We do not have a stock, so yes, and if you do not send us the list with the colours of glass that you want we will select colours for your panel.

Q: I got the pattern in my e-mail, what now?

A: Download and save it on your hard drive. Remember which folder you saved it in. You can also save the pattern on the floppy disc or a CD-R. You can take the floppy disc or a CD to your local copy shop to get it printed, or print it yourself on your printer.

Q: I would like _______ pattern, but i need it in specific size: X inches width and Y inches high.

A: No problem, I can resize the patterns for you at no charge.

However, keep in mind that it is impossible to turn a square pattern with equal height and width into a 10"w x 42"h pattern. What you will end up with is a stretched pattern not usable for any purpose. In such cases I will need to create a new pattern based on the one you picked. Do visit the custom pattern order form.

Q: I ordered a CD and selected e-mail shipping option, why does the link from 2co not work?

A: You ordered a CD (a plastic disc in a plastic case). This can only be sent via regular mail no matter which shipping option you select. Your CD is on its way.

Q: The link I received in my e-mail does not work!!! What do I do?

A: None of the download product links from 2CO work. This is because for single pattern orders a real human will review your order, check for special requests such as resizing, and then send you another e-mail which will have your pattern attached. Patterns are usually e-mailed within 24 hour period. If you do not receive your pattern within 24 hours, please check your bulk and trash folder for your pattern. You will not receive a printed pattern, only a digital copy in your e-mail. After you checked your bulk and trash folders make sure you have enough memory available in your inbox to receive the pattern, make sure the 24 hours have passed since you placed the order then write an e-mail to help@stainedglass.on.ca . It would be nice if you provided another e-mail address just in case. You can get a free e-mail at any time by going to Yahoo or Hotmail . We have sent thousands of orders on time and the ones that have problems (you get the e-mail saying "Your patterns are attached" with nothing attached) are usually due to your company spam filters being set up for high security and blocking all e-mails with attachments. Make sure you can receive attachments up to 2.5 MB.

Q: What are your copyright rules? If I make a piece of stained glass from your pattern can I then sell that finished project?

A: You can sell a finished project made using our patterns! Resale of patterns without permission in any format (digital, printed) is not allowed. (Publishing our free stained glass patterns on your website is allowed only if the patterns are not altered in any way AND if a visible hypertext link back to stainedglass.on.ca is present on each page containing our free pattern(s)).

Q: I want to make my own stained glass piece, what do I need?

A: First, you need good tools and supplies. We do not sell them, so visit a few websites that do. In your shopping list do not forget the following items:

Tools (look for quality, not price): glass cutter, glass grinder or saw, oil for the glass cuter, glass pliers, zig zag glass nibbler or similar useful device, soldering iron (multiple tips and heat levels), scissors, face mask and protective glasses, protective gloves, steel toe shoes, you do not need a helmet.

Supplies: solder, solder grease, copper foil or lead came (or both), invisible tape, paper glue, patinas, glass, copper wire.
